Looking for roleplayers!
Hi there!
My name is Mike, and Im a 32 yr old RP veteran... I have been playing RPG's (both the table top and computer variety) for over 20 years... Ive played a good share of MMOPRGs (mainly Ultima Online, Asherons Call 1&2 and World of Warcraft) and have recently bought Guild Wars... After playing for a couple of hours, I was quite disappointed by the level of roleplaying going on... Basically there is no roleplaying at all... Of course, this is a big problem in all RPGS but most have a good RP base somewhere out there... so far I have been unsuccesful in finding it here...  So... Im looking for roleplayers to hang out with in game... I have set up and managed guilds in other games and although I dont know anything about how guild related things work in GW, I would love to start a friendly RP guild... Short term plans would be to set up a small guild of like minded, mature, fairly active and friendly roleplayers... do quests, RP events and PVP together... Long term plans could even be to form a coalition of RP guilds to increase RP standards... Guilds with a strict but supportive view on RP and IC/OOC behaviour... Finally I believe in adventurous roleplaying... I dont think roleplaying should be just sitting around in a tavern all night telling stories (granted, it can be fun)... Roleplaying can be done anywhere, anytime... that being said, I also think that the game is first and foremost a game, and it should be fun... roleplaying in itself poses a danger to become TOO serious and thus not enjoyable...
